Eid Celebration

Assalamo Alikom Wa Rahmato Allah Wa Barakatoh,

This year we want to have a special Eid celebration organized by the community for the community. 

We have formed a Eid Celebration Committee that will try to organize and put together an organized and joyfull Eid celeration with the help of Allah then the help of the community.

The Eid celebration will include:

Changes to Ishaa' Iqamaa Time and Taraweeh

Assalamo Alikom,

As annouced yesterday, Isha Iqamaa will be at 9:30 pm and Taraweeh will be at 9:45 pm.

Asr iqamaa will be at 5:15 pm.

Ramadan Special Issue I

Assalamo Alikom WaRahmato Allah Wa Barakatoh,

Announcements:

1- Join Us for Iftar everyday at the Masjid immediatly after Salat al-Maghrib. If you are going to sponsor an Iftar get in touch with the Imam.

2- Iqamah for Salat Isha is everyday at 9:45pm and Taraweeh is at 10:00 pm. Check the masjid website for updates on the Iqama times every Friday.

3- Saturday morning class and breakfast after fajr is now "Saturday Spiritual Iftar" until the end of Ramadan. Join us for Salat Al fajr, a short class and Umraa right here from Columbia SC.

We would like to remind everyone that our monthly social gathering will be held this Saturday August 7th. The event starts after Asr until Isha and includes dinner.

Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet used to recite the following in the Fajr prayer of Friday, "Alif, Lam, Mim, Tanzil" (Surat-as-Sajda #32) and "Hal-ata-ala-l-Insani" (i.e. Surah-Ad-Dahr #76).

Jabir bin 'Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with them, reported:
While Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) was delivering the sermon on Friday a person came there, and the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said to him: So and so, have you prayed (two rak'ahs)? He said: No. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Then stand and pray.

Annoucement:

CIC (Carolina Imams Council) will be held tomorrow Saturday in Greensboro.

The mini conference includes 3 lectures by some of Carolina's distinguished Imams. One lecture after fajr, Duhr and Asr. So don't miss this opportunity of knowledge.
Breakfast, Lunch and a snack will be offered.

We usually have a many caravan leaving Friday evening, if you are driving there tonight or planning to join someone get in touch with the Imam after Asr today.

I hope everyone of you is doing well and I want to start this issue by apologizing for the interruption of the newsletter. Our newsletter creator has been out of town for the last few weeks. I want to remind everyone to send any comment and or concerns about the newsletter to eachraf@gmail.com. Sahih Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 13, Number 34:
Narrated Ibn Juraij:

I heard Nazi' saying, "Ibn Umar, said, 'The Prophet forbade that a man should make another man to get up to sit in his place' ". I said to Nafi', 'Is it for Jumua prayer only?' He replied, "For Jumua prayer and any other (prayer)."
