We remind you that there will be a meeting today Wednesday at 7pm to disscuss matters of Eid celebration. If you have any ideas in order to make this Eid as special as this Ramadan has been please come share your thoughts with us. We will also take names of volunteers and distribute responsibilities so please don't miss out on the great Ajr of bringing a smile on our children.

We are still collecting and in need for money for Eid celebration. In order to have a successful celebration especially for our children, we ask that you make your donations as soon as possible. We have placed SPECIAL boxes for Eid fund throughout the Masjid so look for them.

On Saturday August 27th after IFTAR we will have our annual art sale to benefit the Eid Celebration Fund. So please bring your Art work to the masjid anytime this week. If you need supplies such as paint and paper etc. we will provide you with those. All proceeds will go towards Eid.

There will be an open house today for the Columbia Islamic school at masjid Al-muslimiin today Firday August 19, 2011.
We have a special guest Br. Mousa Ramsey and the following is tonight's Agenda:

• 6:00 pm - Lecture about Islamic Education
• 7:00 pm - Tour of CIS Facilities and Meet the Staff
• 7:30 pm - Information and Registration
• 8:30 pm - IFTAR hosted by Lasagna Night sponsor.

So please come early and support the school and have IFTAR with the Muslims. Don't forget to invite everyone and spread the word.

Insha Allah the start of Ramadan will be on Monday August 1st 2011. We will have Taraweeh starting Sunday July 31st 2011 after Isha Prayer – Iqama at 9:45pm.

RAMADAN KAREEM!

In the effort to have a successfull Iftar this year we are adapting a new system so we can have a good estimate
of how many people will be attending Iftar each day.
If you plan to join us for Iftar you need to inform us the night before by Ishaa time using ONE of the following methods.
1- Token System at the door of the masjid.
2- Online using the form @ www.almasjid.com
3- By calling or sending a text message to (803) 753-8819

Please indicate how many members of the family will be attending and make sure that you only use of one the above

Ishaa' Iqamaa is at 9:30 pm

Fajr Iqamaa is at 5:45 am

All Iftar submussions has to be done by 11pm the night before as we need to give the count to the cooks the night before

Dear respected resident of south carolina and the US,

It is approximately half an hour after sunset Sunday 30th of July and until this moment we do not have any accurate information about any sighting of Ramadan crescent at any place, therefore a 90% possibility that the first day of Ramadan will be Monday August 1st. We recommend that you check our website in couple of hours for any updated information otherwise we will go with Monday to be the first day.
