Our yearly summer program is designed to keep the kids occupied in an Islamic environment during some of the summer break. Please register your children as soon as possible in order for us to do the necessary preparations for a successful program.

The CIC conference will be held in Greensboro NC this Saturday April 21, 2012:

We would like to invite everyone to this event. The mini conference includes 3 lectures by some of Carolina's distinguished Imam's. One lecture after fajr, Duhr and Asr. So don't miss this opportunity of knowledge.
Breakfast, Lunch and a snack will be offered. Usually a caravan of cars leaves the masjid on Firday after Maghrib. So if you want to travel in the company of other Muslims don't miss this opportunity. Bring you car and take some muslims with you if you are traveling alone or even if your car is already full come and join the rest of the travelers so we can all leave at the same time.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We would like to remind you that Share Islam Day will be this Saturday between 5:30pm and 7:30pm. Please if you have not done so, invite your non-muslim friends/family members/neighbors.

We also ask that you come support this event. There will be assigned head for each table, so we ask that when you come you should respect and let the head of the table lead the discussions even if you are sitting with your guests, the reason is that the hosts have been preparing for a while for this. If you would like to be a host and feel like you can be ready by Saturday please get in touch with brother Abu Mariam after Jumaa.

We are still in need of volunteers for cleaning and preparing, if you would like to help please come to the Masjid either at Fajr on Saturday or around 3pm. We need to get the Masjid clean for our guests and for ourselves.

This is a correction to the title of the previous email. It should be "Share Islam Day 4/14/12" and not "Share Quran Day 4/4/12". Both date and title were wrong but if you have read the email it is clear that we are talking about "Share Islam Day" and that it is on 4/14/12.

We would like to inform you that our yearly "Share Islam Day" will be on Saturday April 14th between 5:30 pm and 7:30pm. Please invite your neighbors, coworkers and any non-muslims you know. Share Islam day is basically an open house event where we invite non-muslims to come see our masjid and our community. We tell them about Islam through a short (20 min) lecture and some display tables. We also offer them free material about Islam. Dinner is also served at the end of the event.

We will make invitation cards available at the Masjid, so please pick some up and use them to invite your guests. You can also download this invitation and print it out for your guests or simply send it to your email list. (after you click the link, just right click the image and select "save as..")

Due to the great effort and time consumption in the preparation for this day we will not have our monthly social gathering this Saturday but we ask everyone to come to the Share Islam day instead to greet and spend time with our guests, show them our Masjid and tell them about our religion.

We are currently meeting every Monday at 6:30 pm to prepare for the day and we need volunteers. If you have time and would like to help please come to our meetings.

Please help us raise money for the Masjid Through Scrip Gift Card Program.

The Scrip fundraising gift cards or pre-paid cards are the same gift cards you would normally purchase from a retailer in your local retail stores, and they work the same way. And with over 500 of the country’s biggest brands. You’ll find cards you can use at grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, home improvement stores, and almost any business that accepts gift cards. Insha Allah We will purchase some of the card available for purchase weekly for convenience. You can also register at the table on Firday for Monthly or bi-weekly amounts for your regular grocery, gas etc. These cards work as pre-paid card and you can use them for your regular purchases. You get the full amount of the card and the Masjid will get a small percentage, so the more we all buy the more the masjid get.

This will only work if we all do it, we can raise money doing the things we already do, buying groceries and pumping gas.

Be Aware of Scamming Email from Imam's Email!!

Assalamo Alikom Wa Rahmato Allah wa Barakatoh, Dear Brothers and Sisters,

My email account was hacked by someone in Nigeria. We were able to recover my account and change the password. Thank you for your concern. I am in Columbia and not in the UK. I am ok. If you have received an email that circulated lately or heard about it is nothing but a scam. Do not send any money to London and if you already have, try to cancel the transaction if possible.
